Ms. Christina engages my daughter through play and tailored pacing. She comes home excited to share what she learned and has us play the musical games she’s been taught. It’s a joy to see my daughter learn and make progress without feeling stressed about getting it “right.”

Our Story
Sing, Rhyme, and Play with Ms. Christina started in Spring 2020 as a family quarantine project. It was a way to virtually share early literacy content with librarians, teachers, parents, and caregivers with young kids. Sing, Rhyme, and Play content draws from Ms. Christina’s experience as a language teacher, preschool teacher, and early literacy specialist at the Washington DC Public Library. Their songs and rhymes are free to use for educational purposes and free from harmful origins.
Children’s Books Forthcoming
📚 Ms. Christina has several children’s book characters seeking publishing homes: a five-year-old girl with a buzz cut, a bi-cultural sea nymph, a wily travel bug, an unappreciated smoke alarm, an irascible rhombus, a humanitarian spider, and a badly-behaved monster with a marker.
Continuing Education
🎓 In addition to holding degrees in International Relations and German Studies, studying Mandarin Chinese at the graduate level, and gaining seven years of early literacy experience and training at the Washington DC Public Library, Ms. Christina engages in regular continuing education to best meet children’s early linguistic, literacy, and social-emotional needs.
